Angry Birds Space finally announced Windows Phone

Angry Birds franchise has expanded recently to a new adventure, Space Angry Birds, which was launched on Android and iOS (and more recently on BlackBerry) but that was not originally planned for Windows Phone.

Knowing the role played by the series Angry Birds as access to mobile applications, its lack of Windows Phone has been seen as a blow to the mobile platform and one of its main supporters, the manufacturer Nokia, which put her back in smartphones over the mobile OS from Microsoft with its range Lumia.

While sales of Space Angry Birds are excellent (the game has passed the 50 million downloads in just over a month), it was difficult to miss such an attractive feature for a flat-mobile platform.

On the occasion of the CTIA, Nokia announced and a direct partnership with the publisher Rovio and the imminent arrival of Angry Birds Space for its range more widely and Lumia for Windows Phone.

The manufacturer has encouraged the publisher to get a Windows Phone development team to ensure the porting of its securities on the mobile platform. This agreement will develop exclusive content for Nokia smartphones Lumia (Rovio had already created a special version of Angry Birds operator NFC technology on Symbian) and to conduct joint marketing initiatives.

Nokia also unveiled other exclusive agreements in sports (PGA Tour, ESPN) with the delivery of content over a dedicated hub, in entertainment (AOL Entertainment Hub, about six months) and with Groupon in six months.

Nokia has worked with PayPal to create a service available on its smartphones Lumia, while Time and Newsweek magazines now have their application on Windows Phone. Finally, a new application for Windows Phone Box remote access to personal content has been developed in partnership with the Finnish manufacturer.

Many of these initiatives involve primarily the U.S. market that Nokia could not conquer with Symbian and the Finnish group hopes to attract with Windows Phone. The manufacturer has launched a few weeks ago the Nokia 900 supports LTE Lumia at the AT & T.
